Dr. Solberg is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at The University of California, Los Angeles, serving as chief resident of education. She went to medical school at UCLA where she gained extensive clinical knowledge in various settings including working with underserved populations at Los Angeles County hospitals and working with veterans at the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center, as well as in academic and community settings such as UCLA Medical Center and Cedar Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Solberg has also completed a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship through UCLA, working within the adult and juvenile justice system with mentally ill incarcerated individuals and providing psychiatric evaluations and expert witness testimony.

She has done extensive research throughout her career including researching maternal depression, mental illness in underserved populations and the effects of solitary confinement on mentally ill incarcerated individuals. She has written numerous papers and has presented her research at many national psychiatric meetings.

Dr. Solberg’s areas of expertise include adolescent mental health and community mental health. She also does forensic psychiatric evaluations and expert witness testimony.

She currently provides medication management for adolescents and adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder as well as other neuropsychiatric conditions.

Dr. Solberg is known for her empathetic and caring demeanor, working with patients of all backgrounds to help them achieve their treatment goals.
